Kartchner
Caverns State Park
Kartchner Caverns State Park is a wet 'live' cave where water still percolates
from the surface and calcium carbonate features are still growing. It has an
unusually wide variety of multicolored cave formations, including one of the
longest soda straw stalactites in the world, measured at 21.16 feet long and a
fraction of an inch in diameter. (A soda straw is a hollow stalactite that is
still dripping water and growing in length.)
